Ultha + Incarceration + Abest + Ebbe (HB)

Ultha
The five piece scores perfect on sound, atmosphere and performance. But their main strength, in my opinion, lies in their success in integrating the melancholy and theatricality in their music. I somehow get irritated by in-your-face, cheesy, ooey gooey melancholy (or a blatant lean to a particular theme) of some bands, I’d rather not give names. In this case however, there is such a delicious melancholy, the death of a loved one or of love itself, almost in physical form that I can reach out my hand and touch it. Yet no cheap tricks, no gimmicks, just plain earnest and graceful sorrow created by the whole experience.

INCARCERATION (FDA Records, Dawnbreed Records) – Amongst the most aggressive and merciless outfits around,
Incarceration toured over 14 countries with bands including Dead Congregation, Blaspherian, Unaussprechlichen Kulten,
Escarnium, and appeared at festivals such as Party San (Ger), Killtown (Den) Obscene Extreme (Cz),Incubate (Hol) Siege
of Limerick (Ire) among many others. Incarceration currently follows the promotion of its last album Catharsis, this time
presenting its new duo line-up. Killer death metal assault for die-hards and hellraisers into bands like Repugnant,
Repulsion, Sadistic Intent, Sadus, Dark Angel, and old Sepultura/Slayer!

Abest
Abest are blurring the lines between atmospheric Post-Metal and bleak Hardcore to create a dark and compelling emotional atmosphere. Their debut full length „Asylum“ was released in May 2014 via This Charming Man Records, home of bands like The Tidal Sleep or Mountain Witch. In Summer 2016 Abest released a new 12″ EP called „Last“ – again on This Charming Man Records – followed by touring and playing shows with bands like Downfall Of Gaia, Red Apollo or Buried At Sea. As of 2018, a new album is in the works to be released in the near future.

Ebbe
Risen from the lowlands of Northern Germany, Ebbe embody the bleak and harsh atmosphere of their native landscape with a raw hybrid of Doom and Black Metal. The slow build-up of monolithic sounds leading into collapse resembles the natural phenomenon of the unforgiving tide of the German Sea. Massive and immersive waves of sound that will drag you deep into the abyss, leaving you in utter darkness shrouded by impenetrable fog.
